I hope all the Dads out there had a wonderful Father’s Day, you should be celebrated! My Daddy is a wonderful man and I appreciate all he has taught me and all he has done for me, but this post is not about him – this is about my husband and superstar father to our son, Tye!
My husband inspires me every day! At 21 he was diagnosed with high blood pressure and found a way through food and exercise to keep it in check! To date (and 20+ years later) he has never had to take medicine to control it! Yes, we have certainly had our “down” times where we ate too much and over-enjoyed life for a while, but he always comes back to taking care of himself. I am so inspired by his work ethic and drive to be healthy.
I’ve learned from him that a gym membership is not necessary to get a good workout, our son has followed suit! We are an active family and now that our son is grown, he takes so many of the things he has learned from his dad and has put it into play in real life! Mind over matter, health first!
My husband’s regular travel could derail his health/nutrition goals, but it doesn’t! He eats good (even eating out several nights a week) and gets his workout in every day! What an inspiration! He is a ROCK STAR!
